About me

My work intends to explore themes around the human experience, such as searching for identity and history through absences, memories and an imagined parallel universe. I approach these themes by fusing my interest in spirituality, esoteric knowledge and scientific research on theories mainly proposed by Quantum Physics. Although I have struggled between these two approaches since spirituality and science are perceived as complete opposites, the more I have delved into these seemingly opposing fields, I have realized how much they have in common. That is why I pose questions around other dimensions, time-space, voids, and struggles around our physicality since, in the end, it is what creates the human experience. At the same time, I look to confront the fear of our own mortality by challenging the purist approach to photography. Embracing alternative processes or “mistakes”, stepping away from what could become a fully mechanical process. Do we hold photography so precious because we immortalize ourselves through it?
